Exclude IP address when saving data
Note: These features are part of the Visforms Subscription and are not included in the free Visforms version.
Visforms allows you to save the input that the user has made in the form. Along with the user input, some general information is then also stored in the database at the same time.
These include, among other things
- the time of transmission or
- the IP address from which the form was submitted.
You can decide for yourself whether the IP address, which could potentially be considered personal information, is stored in the database together with the user input. There is an additional form option in the Visforms Subscription with which you can prevent the IP address from being saved.
You can find this option in the form configuration under the “Result” tab. There it is directly below the option with which you control whether the user input should be saved or not.
If you set the “Exclude IP” option to “yes”, the database field for storing the IP will be left empty.
