Option dependent success pages
Note: These features are part of the Visforms Subscription and are not included in the free Visforms version.
In the Joomla forms component Visforms you can specify for each form to which page the user should be redirected after he has successfully submitted the form. Here you can specify exactly one forwarding URL. The option-dependent success pages allow you to use the user input in the form to control which success page the user is taken to. This is particularly interesting if you use analytics tools to evaluate visitor behavior on your website.
Quick start Guide
- Install your Visforms Subscription.
- Go to the plugin manager and activate the Visforms plugin “Individual Redirects”.
- In the field configuration of fields of the following types, enter the URL of the desired success page for each option in the option list:
- list box,
- Radio Button or
- Checkbox group.
Install your Visforms Subscription
To be able to use this feature you need to have a Visforms Subscription installed.
Activate plugin
Newly installed plugins are disabled by default in Joomla. Please go to the plugin management under Extensions » Plugins. Select the “Visforms” plugin group there and activate the Visforms plugin “Individual redirects”.
Configure option dependent success page
Go to the configuration of a Visforms field of type list box, radio button or check box group. You can create the option list for the field for these field types in the field configuration. For each option you can set an option-dependent success page. To do this, simply enter the desired URL of the success page in the “Option-dependent success page” column. After the form has been sent successfully, the user is redirected to this URL if he selects this option in the form.
This can be an internal or an external URL.
Note: Please note that you must always use the original URL for internal URLs, not the search engine friendly URL.
An original URL looks like this: index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10&Itemid=45.
