TCPDF ERROR: Could not include font definition file: helvetica
Font files must be installed with the Visforms installation so that different fonts are available for PDF creation. These font files are relatively large and would make the Visforms installation file too large.
PDF font files are installed separately automatically
That’s why we decided to install the PDF font files separately. During the Visforms installation, code runs that copies the installation directory for the font files from an external source and installs it on your server.
Automatic font installation was unsuccessful
If you receive this error message, then for some reason the font installation process was unsuccessful and the font files are missing from your web server.
Please check the following:
If you don’t find a file named helvetica.php in the media\com_visforms\tcpdf\fonts directory on your server, then war the font installation failed.
Manual installation
You can solve the problem as follows:
- Download the fonts manually from: vi-solutions.de/images/pdfs/pdffonts.zip
- Unzip the downloaded pdffonts.zip file.
- Load the files you
- Find inside the fonts directory of the unzipped pdffonts.zip file
- uploaded to the media\com_visforms\tcpdf\fonts directory on your server.
